JAMUL LITTLE LEAGUE MISSION
The purpose of Jamul Little League is
to implant, in our youth, the ideals of sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage and respect for leadership. This website
serves the parents and children who participate in our League, and is updated frequently with new information. We
need your involvement in our operations. If your child participates in Little League Baseball or Softball at any
level, please volunteer your time in support of the kids.
Jamul Little League LATEST NEWS!
REGISTRATION for both boys and girls baseball will

The future of Jamul softball The girls of Jamul have had a very successful run being with little league. This success is due
to the community and parent involvement and the relationships our girls have formed with one another within this small community.
Unfortunately, while our enrollment has increased, our competitor’s has gone down during the last two years. This has
led to a decline in the number of teams available for us to play against. There will no longer be softball programs sponsored
by Jamul or Rancho San Diego Little league.
ASA (American softball association) softball leagues are the next step offered for the girls. There are no boundaries
for these leagues and you may play where you choose. The
two closest leagues are Rancho San Diego ASA (home fields in RSD at Hillsdale Middle School) and East County ASA (main fields
at Montgomery Middle School in El Cajon on Melody). After many discussions and a meeting with our board and representatives
from both ASA leagues, the best option, as a whole league, is to become part of the Rancho San Diego ASA program. It will
allow for “Jamul teams” to be made for the first year and, perhaps, if transition and participation goes well
for future years. We have expressed our desire to the league for the opportunity to have our own teams to continue yearly
to allow for the cohesiveness of our girls and community. We will have practices and games as usual at
our softball field in Jamul that was built and supported by Jamul Little League and our community. East County ASA is a large strong league that has been around for many
years. You could not go wrong if you would choose this option. You may join independently at the sign-ups listed on the website
www.eteamz.com/eastcountyasa/index.cfm. The RSD ASA program
is in its third year and with the influx of the Jamul and RSD softball programs we can help grow this into a strong organization.
The website is www.ranchosandiegoasa.com for more information regarding the league. Coaches and managers that have been with our little league program for the last 2-3 years are organizing to make
the transition an easy one and to determine a system for making teams should we have multiple teams at any level. This
will be dependent on sign ups that we will have on the same day as the little league, Dec. 8 and 9 at JPS from 6-8 pm. If you are interested in managing or coaching at
any level (U8,U10,U12) please contact me ASAP. The girls, also, still have the option of playing tball and any level baseball
with the little league program.
